'72 Cuda

1972 Plymouth Cuda, original BS23H car. This is an original 340/pistol grip 4 speed Cuda. First and foremost let me say that the 340 engine is long gone and in its place is a 1973 model 360. Who knows where or how it got there, my theory is that possibly in 73 the original 340 let go and since 1973 was the last year for the 340, the dealership talked the owner into a 360......who knows?   But  I do know that the car runs out very strong and extremely smooth.   This Cuda was built by Chrysler to be all go and no show. It is a low optioned car, the only options it has is power steering and brakes. The car is a very early 72, it was built in October of 1971 so it has the 71 style bumpers and they are both new.  Paint is excellent and very slick, there are 2 small bubbles very low in front of the rear tires very low on the quarters, I have pictures of these in the picture area, other than these two very small areas this car is virtually rust free. The trunk pan and floor pans are solid as a rock, the drivers side pan has been replaced due to the good ol E body speedo cable grommet cracking early in this cars life. This is a California car that was bought by a fellow in New York about 12 years ago. It has been stored inside in the dry for the past 14 or so years. I am the third owner of this Cuda. The interior is all new Legendary, it has a 1A Auto dash cap. The door panels are in good condition, all interior hardware and trim are also in place and look great. This is a factory non A/C car. All gauges work except the speedo (it needs a cable).  The gauges have been redone in reverse white background and it has a new white face tach as well as new white face performance gauges.  The Pistol Grip has also been restored with a new grip kit. The engine is fresh with less than 500 miles on it.  All engine parts were rebuilt to factory specs. Fuel is delivered via a new Edelbrock 650 carburetor and braided fuel lines. All of the wiring under the hood was redone during the engine rebuild. The starter was replaced with a new high torque mini starter, new Dynomax Jet Hot coat chrome headers were also installed. Raven mufflers give it a very distinctive tone.  The rest of the engine is very detailed and extremely clean. The radiator was gone through and a new polished aluminum puke tank was added.  The trunk is also detailed with a very nice original jack and a late model mini spare to free up some packing room in the trunk for those Saturday night cruises. Tunes are provided by a Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette radio and a 6 disc Alpine changer mounted in the trunk. This car is turn key, needs nothing, its ready for your next show or local cruise in. It is a real head turner. It screams for attention everywhere it is driven, you better plan for about a half hour stop for gas......thats the truth!!!  The car is a blast to drive, there are no vapor locking or overheating issues that plague a lot of older muscle cars. I am not a dealer or a flipper, this is my personal car that I have put my life into for the past 2 years with no intent of ever selling her. But times have changed, I have two teenage boys that will be heading off to college in the next few years and it is time for me to start getting my finances in order to pay for their education.
